2008 Outlaw Kart Classes

( 2008 WKA Rules Apply In ALL Classes - Except Tire Rule)

Yard Kart - 5 hp / Kids 8-13 years old / 200lbs minimum.

Purple Plate - 8-10 years old / 265lbs minimum

Blue Plate - 10-12 years old / 290lbs minimum

Pro Kart Lite - 15 & up - 325lbs minimum

Junior Champ - 345lbs minimum - requires a full firesuit

Gold Plate - 12-15 years old / 320lbs minimum

Pro Kart Heavy - 15 & up - 375lbs minimum

2- Cycle - 350lbs minimum

Pro Kart Medium - 15 & up - 350lbs minimum

Pro Kart Xtra Heavy - 15 & up - kart weight minimum of 200lbs - 400lbs minimum total combined of kart & driver

Gold Animal - 320lbs minimum

Outlaw Open Adult

Senior Champ - 15 & up / 410lbs minimum

** Notice ** - All go-kart drivers must have a minimum of Snell 95 or Snell 2000 helmet , neck collar, gloves, jacket & pants or suit, + all karts are required to have mufflers.

Southern Outlaw Double Track Championship Series

This will be a separate series from the normal track championship. These races will be run at Eastside Speedway and Mountaineer Raceway. We will follow the same rules as the local track and the same procedures except as follows.

1. The cost is a one-time registration fee of $40 per division to be paid at first scheduled SO race. The day of the races that are scheduled, you will be required to pay the normal gate fees at that track. The final race will be a 2-day event with Saturday acting as a practice and qualifying day. Sunday will be practice, a B Main if necessary and then the Feature events. Saturday everyone will be required to pay as normal and Sunday the series driver’s admission will be paid by the series. Pit Crew and Spectators must still pay admission.

2. You are required to run 4 of the scheduled races at either track to make the final race. For example; you may run 3 Eastside scheduled races and 1 Mountaineer scheduled race, or 2 +2 or whatever equals a total of 4 races. Eastside will have 5 scheduled races to choose from and Mountaineer will have 4 scheduled races to choose from. The final race will not count towards the 6 total races you must race in.

3. If you are in the top 5 in points for the series at the end of the season, and have run the scheduled 4 races, you are automatically qualified for the final race. You will also qualify for the final race if you win one of the scheduled series races and have satisfied your 4-race requirement, even if you are not in the top 5 in points.

4. This will be an open tire series with NO TIRE PREP ALLOWED AT EITHER TRACK. No wet tires should be seen in the pits at either track.

5. If a scheduled race gets rained out, we will try to reschedule that race as soon as we can.

6. If we find you are in violation of any of rules at these races, you will be disqualified from the series for the year with no money refunded.

7. Your local track points will be scored as a normal race at these events except for the final race. All divisions will be eligible for competition in the series.
